Narrative
In the winter of 1862, during the Civil War, the US Army sends a company of volunteers to patrol the unexplored western territories. The dialogues and thoughts are those that the actors came up with while living in the wilderness, in the imagination of the soldiers of the Civil War.

With beautiful camerawork and meditative studies of the Civil War era and its characters, Minervini offers an intriguing new approach to discussing the aimless and awe-inspiring journey of soldiers marveling and observing their surroundings and the war’s battles. Strong sound designs, natural performances and camera work help to create tone, atmosphere and environment.
Overall, I found the beautiful and mediating approach to the Civil War interesting
Including the good direction used throughout, and some of the battle sequences were well directed and presented. Although some of the dialogues seem sad, which at times destroys the aspects of realism.
I guess I’m a bit pretentious lol
I know a lot of people won’t like this, but I really like it.
