Narrative
After escaping from an island prison where he spent 14 years for being wrongly accused of treason, Edmond Dantès returns as the Count of Monte Cristo to exact revenge on the men who betrayed him. I’m French and I’m the first to say that " All movies from France are so bad that they can’t and are not able to make a great movie at all…It’s only every 10 years that we can watch a good movie from France"… But this French movie is perfect!!!
the adaptation of the novel is really well done and it’s not easy, especially when such a big fan of the books expects a lot from the movie !!!
Everything needed to make a great film from cinematography was there and I am so proud as a Frenchman to say that finally a French film is a masterpiece !!!!First of all it is the main story' it’s great, everyone can watch this movie, it’s for all children, teenagers, adults, old people … But the script is so nice, the 3 hours of the movie was not long at all, I didn’t want the movie ending I really got So much on the main character’s journey, you want to know the next after every moment you can’t take your eyes off the screen, it’s crazy!
The direction and the shots from the director were so nice, we didn’t get such direction in France and the two directors showed us that we can do it even if we don’t have the same budget as Hollywood, the shots were very beautiful!!!
The story of the Monte Cristo character is so sweet and touching and throughout the movie you are devoted to his story and it is so passionate and in 3 hours it is perfect to discover the whole story (Beginning of life, betrayal, revenge…) the story is emotional and so fascinating !! !I hope not only France will be able to watch this movie and show other countries that France can also make such a movie !!Pierre Niney’s acting skills, it’s great because every movie he played and other actors and actress the same, even for Laurent Lafitte, I´m not his fan but he did such a good job in his evil character, I hope both of these actors win a Cesaro at the end of the year!!!
Thanks to them !Finally the soundtrack, makeup and different suits of the actors were great, all these points were perfect thanks to the people who worked on it, there are so many things to say about each thing, but they are all good and tomorrow I will still say a great thing about each feature here !!!The setting of the movie was also great and finally 43 million budgets?!???!!!??
excuse me But the movie looks like a 100 million budget, to say the least it’s crazy, it shows again why this movie is a masterpiece because to make great shots with great scenery is with a movie for 3 hours for only 43 the budget is incredible and I don’t think people realize , that it’s crazy !!!This film from France is a masterpiece that is everything if you don’t #39; #39; you don’t like the cinema sorry!
